أستراليا: نفوق جماعي لطيور بحرية بسبب إنفلونزا الطيور

رصدت الحكومة الاتحادية، أوّل حالة نفوق جماعي في أستراليا بسبب السلالة إتش 5 من إنفلونزا الطيور لمجموعة كبيرة من الطيور البحرية المحلية في ولاية جنوب أستراليا.

وأكّدت وزيرة الزراعة جولي كولينز، الاثنين، أن الفحوصات المختبرية التي أجرتها الوكالة الوطنية الأسترالية للعلوم أكدت وجود الفيروس في مجموعة الطيور المريضة والنافقة بالقرب من بلدة كيب جافا.

وقالت للصحفيين في كانبيرا "هذه هي أول حالة مؤكدة لنفوق جماعي، ومن الواضح أنه تطور مثير للقلق بشدة".

وأضافت: "يتعين أن يتوقع الأستراليون انتشارا أكبر وأعدادا أكثر من الحيوانات البرية المتضررة الآن".

وسجلت أستراليا حتى الآن 74 إصابة بالفيروس القاتل منذ ظهوره لأول مرة في البلاد في حزيران.
