أعلن المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية الأحد أن طهران ومسقط تقتربان من التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن مسار بحري جديد عبر مضيق هرمز، منفصل عن الممرات القائمة.

وقال إسماعيل بقائي في مقابلة مع التلفزيون الرسمي "نحن بصدد التوصل إلى تفاهم بشأن مسار مقبول للطرفين، لا هو المسار الشمالي ولا الجنوبي، بل مسار يراعي الحقوق السيادية للجانبين ويحفظ مصالحنا الوطنية وأمننا".
