أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، السبت، على إحدى واجهاتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة، محملة بواسطة طائرة مسيرة.

إذ جرى رصدها من قبل وحدات حرس الحدود والتعامل معها وإسقاطها مع حمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.

وشددت القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي على أن أمن الحدود خط أحمر، مؤكدة جاهزية ويقظة نشامى حرس الحدود للتعامل الفوري مع أي تحركات مشبوهة، والتصدي بحزم لكل من تسوّل له نفسه المساس بأمن الوطن
