صرّح الناطق الرسمي باسم القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي، بأن سلاح الجو الملكي، وضمن منظومة الرصد والمتابعة، تعامل فجر اليوم الثلاثاء مع طائرة مسيّرة اخترقت المجال الجوي الأردني، وتم إسقاطها في الصحراء الشرقية داخل أراضي المملكة، وفقًا لقواعد الاشتباك المعتمدة.

وأكد أن القوات المسلحة الأردنية تواصل أداء واجبها في حماية حدود المملكة والحفاظ على أمنها وسيادتها، ولن تتهاون في التعامل مع أي تهديد يمس أمن الوطن وسلامة مواطنيه.
