زار رئيس الوزراء الدكتور جعفر حسّان، اليوم، محمية العقبة البحرية، عقب صدور قرار منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو) بإدراجها على قائمة التراث العالمي.

وأشاد رئيس الوزراء بالجهود التي بذلتها الجهات المعنية، والتي أسهمت في تحقيق هذا الإنجاز الوطني، مؤكدًا أن إدراج المحمية على قائمة التراث العالمي يعكس المكانة البيئية والطبيعية التي تتمتع بها المملكة، ويشكل محطة مهمة في تعزيز حضور الأردن على خريطة السياحة العالمية.
