أطلق المركز الوطني للأمن وإدارة الأزمات وبالتعاون مع وزارة الاقتصاد الرقمي والريادة، وهيئة تنظيم قطاع الاتصالات وشركات الاتصالات المرخصة في المملكة، سلسلة من التجارب لنظام الرسائل التحذيرية الوطني في اغلب محافظات المملكة، وذلك للوقوف على جاهزية هذا النظام في التحذير من مخاطر الأزمات والكوارث والأحداث الطارئة.

ودعا المركز المواطنين الى عدم القلق عند استلام الرسائل التجريبية، حيث سيصدر مع الرسالة التي ستصل إلى الهواتف المحمولة وباللغتين العربية والإنجليزية تنبيه صوتي لجذب انتباه المواطنين وضمان الاطلاع عليها بشكل فوري.
