أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، أنه بحث مع المبعوثين الأمريكيين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر، "إعادة تنشيط الدبلوماسية" لإنهاء الحرب مع روسيا.

جاء ذلك في اتصال هاتفي الأربعاء، بحسب منشور للرئيس الأوكراني على حسابات بمنصات التواصل الاجتماعي.

وقال زيلينسكي: "كانت محادثة مثمرة ومهمة حول سبل إعادة تنشيط الدبلوماسية والدفع قدمًا بمسار السلام".

وأشار إلى أنهم سيواصلون الاتصالات الوثيقة مع الجانب الأمريكي لمتابعة الجهود السابقة نحو تحقيق السلام في الصراع الروسي الأوكراني.

وتشن روسيا منذ 24 فبراير/ شباط 2022 هجوما عسكريا على جارتها أوكرانيا، وتشترط لإنهائه تخلي كييف عن الانضمام إلى كيانات عسكرية غربية، وهو ما تعتبره كييف "تدخلا" في شؤونها.
