أعلن مدير مطار أربيل الدولي، أحمد هوشيار، الثلاثاء، تعليق الرحلات الجوية من وإلى المطار بشكل مؤقت، في أعقاب تطورات أمنية شهدتها المدينة.

وبحسب مصادر أمنية نقلت عنها وكالة رويترز، تمكنت الدفاعات الجوية من إسقاط ثلاث طائرات مسيّرة محملة بمتفجرات قرب القنصلية الأميركية في أربيل، دون ورود معلومات فورية عن وقوع إصابات أو أضرار.

وجاء قرار تعليق الرحلات كإجراء احترازي في ظل التوتر الأمني، فيما لم تصدر حتى الآن تفاصيل رسمية إضافية.
