أجرى نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي الأحد، اتصالًا هاتفيًّا مع وزير الخارجية في المملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة سمو الأمير فيصل بن فرحان آل سعود.

وبحث الوزيران خلال الاتصال التصعيد الخطير الذي تشهده المنطقة، والجهود المبذولة لإنهائه.

وأكّد الوزيران إدانة الاعتداءات الإيرانية على الأردن ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، والتضامن المطلق في مواجهتها.

وشدّد الصفدي والأمير فيصل على ضرورة إنهاء التصعيد، وتنفيذ اتفاق وقف النار بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، وأكّدا ضرورة استئناف المفاوضات والتوصل إلى حل شامل يعالج كل أسباب التوتر ويضمن حرية الملاحة في مضيق هرمز.
