تأهل المنتخب الوطني للتنس إلى المجموعة العالمية الثانية من منافسات كأس ديفيز، بعدما تصدر المجموعة العالمية الثالثة في البطولة التي استضافتها العاصمة الماليزية كوالالمبور.

وجاء تأهل المنتخب الوطني الذي ضم اللاعبين موسى القطب ومحمد القطب وزيد المشني ومالك القرنة، عقب تحقيقه العلامة الكاملة بثلاثة انتصارات متتالية، كان آخرها الفوز على منتخب أوزبكستان بنتيجة 3-0، ليحسم صدارة مجموعته ويضمن بطاقة التأهل.

وكان المنتخب الوطني قد استهل مشواره بالفوز على كل من الفلبين وسنغافورة بنتيجة 2-1 في كلتا المواجهتين، قبل أن يختتم مشاركته بانتصار مستحق على أوزبكستان، مؤكداً أحقيته بالتأهل إلى المجموعة العالمية الثانية.
