حذرت إيران الاثنين من أنها لن تلتزم بمذكرة التفاهم إذا لم تفِ الولايات المتحدة بتعهّداتها، وذلك في أعقاب تبادل هجمات هي الأعنف منذ إعلان اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار في الثامن من نيسان.

وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية إسماعيل بقائي في مؤتمر صحافي في طهران "في كل مرة يُحجم فيها الطرف الآخر عن الوفاء بالتزاماته، نُحجم عن الوفاء بالتزاماتنا... سنواصل العمل بهذه الطريقة".
