بعث جلالة الملك عبدﷲ الثاني برقية تعزية إلى أخيه سمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير دولة قطر، بوفاة والده سمو الأمير الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، رحمه ﷲ، بعد قيادته مسيرة حافلة بالبناء والتطوير في دولة قطر الشقيقة وخدمة شعبها العزيز ورفعته.

وأعرب جلالته، باسمه وباسم شعب المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية وحكومتها، عن أصدق مشاعر المواساة بهذا المصاب الأليم، سائلا المولى، عز وجل، أن يتغمد سمو الأمير الشيخ حمد بواسع رحمته ويسكنه فسيح جناته، وأن يلهم سمو الشيخ تميم والأسرة الحاكمة والشعب القطري الشقيق جميل الصبر وحسن العزاء.
