شارك 30 لاعبا و 11 لاعبة في انطلاقة منافسات بطولة الاستقلال لرفع الأثقال، التي ينظمها الاتحاد الأردني لرفع الأثقال في صالة قصر الرياضة بمدينة الحسين للشباب، وتستمر يومين.

ويتنافس اللاعبون واللاعبات ضمن فئة الكبار في البطولة التي انطلقت أمس السبت.

ويحرص الاتحاد الأردني لرفع الأثقال على إقامة البطولة سنوياً، فيما تكتسب نسخة هذا العام أهمية إضافية مع إشراف المدرب الأرميني الجديد للمنتخب الوطني، الذي سيعمل على متابعة مستويات اللاعبين واللاعبات ورصد العناصر المميزة استعداداً للاستحقاقات المقبلة.
