مقتل 44 شخصا بفيضانات وانهيارات أرضية في بنغلادش

لقي 44 شخصا على الأقل مصرعهم جراء الفيضانات والانهيارات الأرضية التي تسببت بها أمطار موسمية غزيرة في جنوب شرق بنغلادش، فيما تقطعت السبل بأكثر من مليون شخص آخرين في المناطق المتضررة.

وقالت وزارة إدارة الكوارث في بنغلادش اليوم السبت، إن الفيضانات اجتاحت 7 مقاطعات، وتسببت بتعطيل الحياة اليومية وعزل عشرات آلاف الأسر عن المناطق المجاورة.

وأضافت، إن ما أعاق عمليات الإنقاذ والإغاثة، انقطاع التيار الكهربائي وتضرر الطرق وشبكات الاتصالات في وقت يواجه فيه السكان نقصا بالمواد الغذائية ومياه الشرب.

وبحسب وكالة (رويترز)، قال وزير إدارة الكوارث والإغاثة إقبال حسين، إن الحكومة تواصل توزيع المساعدات والإمدادات الطبية وتوفير مياه الشرب الآمنة للمتضررين، داعيا السكان إلى التوجه إلى مراكز الإيواء في المناطق المتضررة.
