أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية، فجر الخميس، على إحدى واجهاتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة، محملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة.

وجرى رصدها من قبل وحدات حرس الحدود والتعامل معها وإسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.

تواصل القوات المسلحة الأردنية تسخير قدراتها وإمكاناتها المختلفة، لمنع كافة أشكال عمليات التسلل والتهريب للمحافظة على أمن واستقرار المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.
