قال مصدر أمني إن عبوات ناسفة انفجرت الثلاثاء في العاصمة السورية دمشق بالقرب من فندق يفترض أن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون يقيم فيه خلال زيارته الحالية لسوريا.

وجرى إغلاق شوارع وتطبيق إجراءات أمنية عقب الانفجارات، وفق وكالة رويترز.

وقالت وكالة فرانس برس إن دوّى انفجار قوي لم تتضح أسبابه بعد سمع الثلاثاء في وسط العاصمة السورية، تبعه تصاعد دخان من مكان قريب من فندق راقٍ أمضى فيه ماكرون ليلته، وفق شهود عيان.

وقد سُمع دوي انفجار على الأقل ترددت أصداؤه في أنحاء عدة من دمشق، قبل تصاعد أعمدة دخان وتوجّه سيارات الإسعاف إلى المكان، في وقت كان ماكرون، وهو أول رئيس دولة غربية يزور دمشق منذ إطاحة الحكم السابق، يعقد محادثات رسمية مع نظيره السوري أحمد الشرع في القصر الرئاسي.
