أشاد محافظ العقبة أيمن العوايشة بالإنجاز التاريخي للمنتخب الوطني لكرة القدم ومشاركته في نهائيات كأس العالم، والذي عكس تطور كرة القدم الأردنية على المستوى الدولي.

جاء ذلك خلال استقباله أمس لاعب المنتخب عبدالله نصيب أحد أبناء مدينة العقبة، بحضور نائب المحافظ د. جبريل أبو شريتح، ومساعد المحافظ للشؤون العامة شايش المجالي.

وهنأ المحافظ اللاعب نصيب على المستوى البطولي الذي قدمه النشامى في المونديال، مؤكداً أن هذا الإنجاز جاء بدعم واهتمام مباشر من جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني، ومتابعة حثيثة من سمو ولي العهد الأمير الحسين، وسمو الأمير علي بن الحسين رئيس اتحاد كرة القدم.

وجدد العوايشة تأكيد وقوف محافظة العقبة بكافة مؤسساتها وأبنائها صفاً واحداً خلف منتخب النشامى ودعم مسيرته، متمنياً له التوفيق وتمثيل الأردن خير تمثيل ورفع اسم المملكة عالياً في البطولات القادمة.
