يعقد مجلس الأمن الدولي اليوم الاثنين جلسته الشهرية المفتوحة بشأن الوضع في الشرق الأوسط، بما في ذلك القضية الفلسطينية تعقبها مشاورات مغلقة.

ومن المتوقع أن يقدم نائب المنسق الأممي الخاص لعملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط، رامز الأكباروف إحاطة للأعضاء. وحسب رئاسة مجلس الأمن للشهر الحالي، فانه سيتم بحث تقرير الأمين العام بشأن تطبيق القرار الدولي رقم 2334 الذي يطالب إسرائيل بالوقف الفوري والكامل لجميع الأنشطة الاستيطانية في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس الشرقية.
