أعلنت المنظمة البحرية الدولية في بيان أن خطة اجلاء البحارة العالقين في مضيق هرمز تم تعليقها الخميس، بعد هجوم في خليج عُمان استهدف سفينة عبرت المضيق.

وقال الامين العام للمنظمة ارسينيو دومينغيز "قررت أن اعلق موقتا تنفيذ (الخطة) بهدف إعادة التأكيد أن ضمانات السلامة اللازمة لا تزال قائمة بالنسبة للسفن المدرجة في قائمة الإجلاء لدينا وكذلك لجميع السفن الموجودة في المنطقة".
