عممت هيئة الإعلام، الأربعاء، على جميع المطبوعات الصحفية والإلكترونية، ومحطات البث الإذاعي والتلفزيوني، والمؤسسات الإعلامية والصحفية الأجنبية المعتمدة في المملكة، كتابا من المؤسسة العامة للغذاء والدواء بعدم نشر أي مادة إعلانية تتضمن ادعاءات تغذوية أو صحية إلا بعد الحصول على موافقة من المؤسسة.

وتضمن كتاب المؤسسة، بعدم نشر أي مادة إعلانية تتضمن ادعاءات تغذوية أو صحية مثل (تحت إشراف طبي صيدلاني) أو (حرق الدهون أو تنزيلها)، إلا بعد التأكد من حصول المنتج المراد الإعلان عنه على موافقة المؤسسة لغايات الترخيص والإعلان.

وأكدت المؤسسة أن الكتاب يأتي للحافظ على صحة وسلامة المواطنين والمقيمين على أرض المملكة.
