أصبح البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو أول لاعب في التاريخ يسجل في ست نسخ مختلفة من نهائيات كأس العالم لكرة القدم، بعد هدفه في مرمى أوزبكستان الثلاثاء في هيوستن، ضمن الجولة الثانية من الدور الأول في مونديال أميركا الشمالية 2026.

وسجل قائد البرتغال البالغ 41 عاما الذي كان تحت ضغط لإنهاء صيامه التهديفي في البطولات الدولية الكبرى، هدفا بعد ست دقائق فقط، رافعا رصيده إلى 144 هدفا دوليا من بينها تسعة في النهائيات (2006، 2010، 2014، 2018، 2022 و2026).
