أكّد الرئيس اللبناني جوزاف عون الثلاثاء رفضه "الاحتلال" الاسرائيلي و"الوصايات" الخارجية، تزامنا مع جولة خامسة من المحادثات المباشرة مع اسرائيل في واشنطن، وبينما يسعى لبنان إلى تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار بين اسرائيل وحزب الله.

وقال عون وفق بيان للرئاسة "لن نقبل إلا بزوال الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وبسقوط الوصايات الخارجية معا"، معربا عن أمله بأن تكون الجولة الجديدة من المفاوضات "حاسمة على طريق إنجاز ما نريد من خير لوطننا وشعبنا" أي "في استعادة سيادة لبنان كاملة على كل ذرة تراب".
