أصدرت القيادة السياسية والعسكرية الإسرائيلية ليل الاثنين - الثلاثاء، بيانا مشتركا أكدت فيه على أن قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي ستواصل العمل لإبقاء المنطقة الأمنية في جنوب لبنان.

وقال رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو ووزير الجيش يسرائيل كاتس وقائد الجيش في بيان مشترك إن أمن المواطنين في إسرائيل وقواتها سيظل المبدأ التوجيهي الذي لا يقبل أي مساومة.

وتابعوا في البيان أن القوات ستواصل العمل على "تحييد التهديدات التي تواجه الجنود والمواطنين، وهدم البنية التحتية (...)والإبقاء على المنطقة الأمنية في جنوب لبنان.
