تكبّدت قطر المنقوصة عدديا هزيمة ساحقة في ظهورها الثاني في مونديال 2026 لكرة القدم، بسقوطها أمام كندا 0-6 بقيادة المهاجم المتألق جوناثان ديفيد صاحب الثلاثية الثانية في المونديال بعد الأسطورة الأرجنتينية ليونيل ميسي، الخميس على ملعب بي سي بلايس في فانكوفر ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من المجموعة الثانية.

وحملت سداسية أصحاب الأرض توقيع كلّ من كايل لارين (16) وجوناثان ديفيد (29 و45+3 و90+2) والبديلان نايثن صليبا (64) ومحمد مناعي (75 بالخطأ في مرمى منتخب بلاده).
