اعتبر الرئيس الأميركي، دونالد ترامب، الخميس، أن التفاهم مع إيران لإنهاء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط يمثّل "انتصارا" للولايات المتحدة، رافضا الانتقادات المتصاعدة له، وبعضها من أعضاء في حزبه الجمهوري.

وكتب ترامب في منشور على شبكته تروث سوشال "لن تدفع الولايات المتحدة 300 مليار دولار لإيران. هذه أخبار زائفة! كل ما في الأمر بالنسبة إلى الولايات المتحدة هو النجاح، وانخفاض أسعار النفط، والانتصار. تفقدوا سوق الأسهم"، معتبرا أن "دعاية الديموقراطيين هي في ذروتها".
