شدد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، على أهمية الحفاظ على "العلاقة الحيوية" بين إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة، عقب توقيع الأخيرة تفاهما مع إيران وظهور تباينات علنية بينه وبين الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب.

وقال نتنياهو الذي أطلق وترامب الحرب على إيران في شباط "لم ينته الصراع بعد، وتنتظرنا تحديات إضافية، تتطلب تقديرا هادئا، ودفاعا راسخا عن المصالح الأمنية لإسرائيل، وفي الوقت عينه الحفاظ على العلاقة الحيوية مع أصدقائنا الأميركيين الذين وقفوا معنا كتفا لكتف في هذا القتال".

وأضاف في بيان صادر عن مكتبه أنه "يقدّر بشكل عميق الشراكة" مع واشنطن.
