قالت مديرة صندوق النقد الدولي كريستالينا جورجيفا، اليوم الاثنين “إن الاقتصاد العالمي يتجاوز حتى الآن صدمة الحرب في الشرق الأوسط”، على الرغم من ارتفاع أسعار السلع الأساسية وزيادة التضخم والضغوط التي تواجه الأوضاع المالية، دون وجود أي مؤشرات على تباطؤ عالمي.

ورحبت جورجيفا بالاتفاق الذي تسنى التوصل إليه أمس الأحد بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران لإنهاء الحرب ومعاودة فتح مضيق هرمز، لكنها حذرت في مدونة جديدة من أن تصاعد الصراع واضطرابات الإمدادات يشكل “خطرا واضحا على النمو العالمي”.

وسيصدر صندوق النقد توقعات محدثة لنمو الاقتصاد العالمي في الثامن من يوليو تموز.
