قال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، الجمعة، إن الهيئات الإيرانية المعنية بصنع القرار تجتمع لمناقشة مذكرة التفاهم.

وأضاف بقائي، للتلفزيون الرسمي، أنه لا يمكنه تأكيد أي من تفاصيل المذكرة المنشورة في وسائل الإعلام، مبينا أنه لا يمكنه التعليق على موعد توقيع مذكرة التفاهم ومكانه قبل التوصل إلى قرار في إيران.

وأكد أن تم التوصل إلى تفاهمات بشأن جزء كبير من القضايا التي نوقشت في المحادثات.

وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي قال، إنّ الولايات المتحدة وإيران "أقرب من أي وقت مضى" إلى التوصل لاتفاق لإنهاء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط.

وكتب عراقجي على منصة (إكس) "مذكرة تفاهم إسلام أباد أقرب من أي وقت مضى"، في إشارة إلى عاصمة باكستان التي تؤدي دور الوساطة الرئيسي بين البلدين."
