نقلت صحيفة نيويورك تايمز عن مصدرين مطلعين، الثلاثاء، أن طائرة مروحية حربية من طراز أباتشي تابعة للجيش الأميركي سقطت بالقرب من مضيق هرمز الاثنين وتم إنقاذ طاقمها المكون من فردين "بسلام".

وأضاف التقرير أنه لم يتضح بعد ما إذا كانت الطائرة قد أسقطت بنيران إيرانية أم تعرضت لعطل فني أم واجهت مشكلة أخرى.

ولم يرد البيت الأبيض ولا وزارة الخارجية الأميركية ولا القيادة المركزية الأميركية على طلبات من رويترز للتعليق على الحادثة.

من جانبه قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب إن الطيارين اللذين سقطت طائرتهما في مضيق هرمز "بخير".
