أكد رئيس مجلس النواب مازن القاضي، خلال لقائه نظيره العراقي هيبت الحلبوسي، عمق العلاقات الأردنية العراقية وحرص المملكة على تطويرها في مختلف المجالات، وذلك في إطار زيارة رسمية خارجية هي الأولى للحلبوسي بعد توليه رئاسة البرلمان العراقي، على رأس وفد يضم رؤساء كتل برلمانية عراقية تمثل مختلف التيارات السياسية.

من جهته، أعرب رئيس مجلس النواب العراقي هيبت الحلبوسي عن تقديره الكبير للأردن بقيادة جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني، مشيداً بمواقف المملكة الداعمة للعراق، لا سيما خلال الحرب على تنظيم داعش، والتي وصفها بأنها كانت مواقف أخوية وجادة ومحل تقدير جميع القوى السياسية العراقية
