تواصل وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل لاجئي فلسطين في الشرق الأدنى "الأونروا" جهودها لدعم لاجئي فلسطين في مخيم اليرموك، من خلال تنفيذ مشاريع إصلاح المساكن وإعادة تأهيل المدارس، إلى جانب تقديم خدمات الرعاية الصحية والتعليم والحماية والمياه والصرف الصحي.

وأكدت الوكالة أن العائلات المقيمة في المخيم تواصل العمل على إعادة بناء حياتها ومنازلها ومجتمعاتها بعد سنوات من النزاع الذي شهدته سوريا، فيما تستمر الأونروا في توفير الدعم اللازم بما يسهم في الحفاظ على كرامة السكان وتحسين ظروفهم المعيشية.

ويقطن مخيم اليرموك اليوم أكثر من 60 ألف شخص، يشكل لاجئو فلسطين الغالبية العظمى منهم، وسط جهود متواصلة لإعادة تأهيل البنية التحتية والخدمات الأساسية وتعزيز الاستقرار المجتمعي داخل المخيم.
