استبعد وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي أي احتمال لعقد اجتماع، اقترحه دونالد ترامب، بين الرئيس الأميركي والمرشد الأعلى الإيراني آية الله مجتبى خامنئي.

وقال ترامب في مقابلة مع صحيفة نيويورك بوست الأربعاء إنه "يرغب بلقاء" خامنئي، في وقت تتعثر فيه المحادثات بين طهران وواشنطن لإنهاء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط.

ورد عباس عراقجي في مقابلة على قناة الميادين اللبنانية، بُثت الخميس، قائلا "لقد رأيت مقالا ألمح فيه إلى أنه (دونالد ترامب) مستعد لعقد اجتماع أو أنه يريد ترتيب اجتماع".

وأضاف وزير الخارجية الإيراني، رافضا هذا الاحتمال، "لكنني أعتقد أننا بحاجة إلى أن نكون واقعيين".
