أعلن وزير الصحة الروسي، ميخائيل موراشكو، اليوم الخميس، عن أن العلماء في روسيا نجحوا في تطوير لقاح مخصص لمكافحة السلالة الجديدة من فيروس إيبولا، مشيرًا إلى أن اللقاح لا يزال بحاجة إلى استكمال مراحل الاختبار اللازمة قبل اعتماده.

وقال موراشكو خلال مؤتمر صحفي على هامش منتدى بطرسبورغ الاقتصادي الدولي:"مع ظهور السلالة الجديدة من الفيروس، عمل الباحثون على تعديل اللقاح القائم ليتوافق مع خصائص السلالة المستجدة، ليصبح حاليًا جاهزًا في صورة منتج طبي، اللقاح المطور حديثًا ما زال في انتظار المرور بعدد من مراحل التقييم والاختبارات الضرورية قبل السماح باستخدامه على نطاق واسع".
