أشاد الرئيس فولوديمير زيلينسكي الأربعاء، بالضربات الجوية التي شنها الجيش الاوكراني ليلا على مدينة سان بطرسبورغ، معتبرا أنها رد "عادل" على الهجمات الروسية على بلاده، ومتوعدا بتصعيد الضربات من جانب كييف.

وقال زيلينسكي في مؤتمر صحافي مشترك في كييف مع الأمين العام لحلف شمال الاطلسي مارك روته "أعتقد أنها ضربات عادلة. قبل يوم واحد فقط، وقع هجوم واسع النطاق، وقد رددنا بناء على ذلك"، مضيفا "إنها مسألة وقت فقط قبل أن نتمكن من زيادة وتيرة ردودنا".

من جهته، قال روته "في وقت تواصل أوكرانيا الصمود والابتكار وتحقيق انتصارات في ساحة المعركة، فإن روسيا تزداد يأسا".
