وجه الاتحاد الأردني لكرة القدم دعوةً للاعبي المنتخب الوطني المصابين للتواجد مع زملائهم اللاعبين في الولايات المتحدة لمؤازرتهم، وفقًا للأمينة العامة للاتحاد، سمر نصار.

يشار إلى أن منتخب النشامى سيغادر إلى سويسرا الخميس 28 أيار حيث يلتقي مع أصحاب الأرض عند الرابعة -بتوقيت الأردن- مساء الأحد 31 أيار على ستاد كيوبين بارك في مدينة سانت غالن، فيما يغادر إلى أميركا لمواجهة كولومبيا مساء الأحد 7 حزيران في مدينة سان دييجو، على أن يستقر في معسكره الرسمي خلال المونديال في مدينة بورتلاند الأميركية.

ويستعد منتخب النشامى للمشاركة الأولى في تاريخه ببطولة كأس العالم، حيث استقر في المجموعة العاشرة إلى جانب منتخبات الأرجنتين والجزائر والنمسا.
