بدأ جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي تعبئة جنوده بهدف تكثيف عملياته في لبنان، وفق هيئة البث الإسرائيلي.

وقالت هيئة البث، إن الجيش طلب من الجنود الذين سرحوا في الأيام الأخيرة الالتحاق بالخدمة الاحتياطية فورا.

وكان رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو أعلن الاثنين أن إسرائيل ستكثف عملياتها العسكرية في لبنان، فيما تعمل الولايات المتحدة وإيران على إنجاز تفاهم لإنهاء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط.

وصرح نتنياهو في مقطع فيديو نُشر على قناته على تطبيق تلغرام "لن نبطئ وتيرة الهجوم، بل على العكس، لقد طلبتُ تسريعها. سنكثف الضربات ونزيد من قوتها، وسنسحق حزب الله".
