وصف الأميرال براد كوبر قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية في شهادته أمام الكونغرس، اليوم الثلاثاء التحقيق، الذي يجريه الجيش الأمريكي بشأن قصف مدرسة بنات في إيران، بأنه “معقد” نظرا لوجود المدرسة داخل موقع إيراني نشط لإطلاق صواريخ كروز.

وكانت رويترز أول من أفاد بأن تحقيقا داخليا أوليا أجراه الجيش الأمريكي أشار إلى أن القوات الأمريكية هي على الأرجح المسؤولة عن تدمير مدرسة البنات في ميناب. ورفعت وزارة الدفاع (البنتاغون) مستوى التحقيق بعد ذلك.

ووقع الهجوم في 28 فبراير شباط أول يوم للحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران. وقال مسؤولون إيرانيون إنها أسفرت عن مقتل 168 من الأطفال، معظمهم من الفتيات.
