أعلن مركز عمليات طوارئ الصحة التابع لوزارة الصحة العامة اللبنانية، السبت، أن الحصيلة التراكمية الإجمالية للعدوان الإسرائيلي منذ 2 آذار الماضي وحتى 16 أيار الجاري بلغت 2969 شهيدا و9112 جريحا.

وشنّ جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي سلسلة غارات على جنوب لبنان السبت قال إنها تستهدف منشآت لحزب الله، وأنذر بإخلاء قرى إضافية يبعد بعضها عشرات الكيلومترات عن الحدود، غداة تمديد هدنة ترعاها واشنطن.

واتفق البلدان الجمعة خلال جولة ثالثة من المباحثات في واشنطن، على تمديد وقف إطلاق النار الذي يسري منذ 17 نيسان/أبريل وكان من المقرر أن ينتهي الأحد، لمدة 45 يوما.

ومنذ وقف إطلاق النار، واصلت إسرائيل شنّ ضربات تقول إنها تستهدف حزب الله وعناصره، والقيام بعمليات نسف وتدمير في مناطق تحتلها قواتها في المناطق المحاذية للحدود.
