رأى المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية تيدروس أدهانوم غيبرييسوس، الثلاثاء، أن "عمل" السلطات الصحية "لم ينته بعد" رغم نجاح عملية إجلاء أكثر من 100 راكب وعضو طاقم من السفينة "إم في هونديوس" التي تفشّى فيها فيروس هانتا خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة.

وقال غيبرييسوس في مؤتمر صحافي مشترك مع رئيس الوزراء الإسباني في مدريد، غداة انتهاء عمليات الإجلاء التي نُفِذَت في ظل إجراءات حماية مشددة جدا، "عملنا لم ينته بعد"، منبّها إلى أن "حالات أخرى قد تظهر في الأسابيع المقبلة (...) نظرا إلى فترة حضانة الفيروس الطويلة".

وأمل غيبرييسوس في أن "تتبع الدول نصائحه وتوصياته" في شأن هذا الفيروس.
