قالت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية بالاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس إن وزراء خارجية الاتحاد توصلوا، الاثنين، إلى اتفاق لرفع العقوبات المفروضة على وزيري الداخلية والدفاع السوريين.

واتفق الوزراء في وقت سابق اليوم على استئناف العلاقات التجارية مع سوريا ومعاودة تفعيل اتفاق التعاون الذي جرى تعليقه في عام 2011 عندما تحولت الانتفاضة على الرئيس آنذاك بشار الأسد إلى حرب أهلية استمرت 14 عاما.
