أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، فجر الأحد، محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة بواسطة طائرتين مسيّرتين (درون) على واجهتها الغربية، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية العسكرية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، وجرى تطبيق قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصدهما من قِبل قوات حرس الحدود وإسقاطهما داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتم تحويل المضبوطات للجهات المختصة.
