شارك 270 لاعبا ولاعبة، في منافسات البطولة الشتوية المفتوحة الثالثة للسباحة (مسبح 25 مترا) بمشاركة واسعة من الأندية والأكاديميات، وذلك في مسبح نادي مدينة الحسين للشباب.

ويشارك في البطولة 270 لاعباً ولاعبة (171 سبّاحاً و99 سباحة)، ضمن 6 فئات عمرية تبدأ من 11 عاماً ويتنافسون على ميداليات المراكز الثلاثة الأولى.

وتُعد هذه النسخة آخر بطولة تُقام على مسبح 25 مترا قبل الانتقال إلى مسبح 50 مترا في الاستحقاقات المقبلة، ما يرفع من حدة التنافس بين المشاركين.

وشهدت منافسات اليوم الأول من البطولة إقامة سباقات 800 متر حرة و200 متر فراشة و100 متر صدر و200 متر حرة وسط مستويات تنافسية متقاربة بين المشاركين.
