أعلنت وزارة الصحة الإسبانية أن الدولة بدأت بعملية إجلاء مواطنيها من ضمن الركاب على متن السفينة السياحية التي سجلت حالات إصابة بفيروس هانتا وترسو حاليا بالقرب من جزيرة تينيريفي الأحد، إذ صعد مسؤولون من قطاع الصحة على متن السفينة لإجراء فحص نهائي وبدء إنزال الركاب.

وقال مسؤولون حكوميون إن أول مجموعة من الركاب يتم إجلائها ستكون من الإسبان، وسينقلون إلى البر على متن قوارب صغيرة ثم في حافلات مغلقة إلى المطار المحلي حيث سيعودون جوا إلى مدريد على متن طائرة تابعة للحكومة الإسبانية، مؤكدين أن هؤلاء المواطنين لن يخالطوا أشخاصا آخرين.
