قرر مجلس إدارة الهيئة الهاشمية للمصابين العسكريين، برئاسة سمو الأمير مرعد بن رعد، كبير الأمناء، رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة، تعيين العميد المتقاعد الطيار عادل صيتان الشناق، مديرًا عامًا للهيئة.

ويحمل الشناق خبرة واسعة في المجالات العسكرية والإدارية، حيث التحق بعد إنهاء خدمته العسكرية برتبة عميد بهيئة تنظيم الطيران المدني عام 2007، وتولى خلالها عدة مناصب، من أبرزها مدير العمليات الجوية، ومدير إدارة السلامة الجوية حتى عام 2019.

كما حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم العسكرية، ودرجة الماجستير في الدراسات الاستراتيجية عام 2004 من كلية الدفاع الوطني، إضافة إلى حصوله على عدد من الدورات الداخلية والخارجية المتخصصة في المجالات العسكرية والإدارية والطيران.
