قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الأربعاء، إن الولايات المتحدة أجرت محادثات جيدة جدًا مع إيران خلال الـ 24 ساعة الماضية، مضيفًا أن من المحتمل جدًا أن يتوصل البلدان إلى اتفاق.

وأشار ترامب إلى أن واشنطن تتعامل مع أطراف في إيران ترغب في إبرام اتفاق، مؤكدًا أن الإيرانيين "يريدون إبرام اتفاق بأي ثمن". وأضاف: "سنرى ما إذا كانوا سيوافقون أم لا".

ولفت الرئيس الأميركي إلى أن إيران "غير قادرة على إدخال أو إخراج أي سفينة"، مشيدًا بـ"العمل المذهل" الذي قامت به الولايات المتحدة في العمليات ضد إيران.

وشدد على أن "إذا لم توافق إيران على مقترحاتنا، فستواجه عواقب"، مؤكّدًا أن الولايات المتحدة ستحصل على اليورانيوم المخصب من إيران، في سياق سعي البلدين للتوصل إلى اتفاق لإنهاء النزاع.
