قال وزير الاقتصاد الإسباني، الاثنين، إن الاتحاد الأوروبي يحتفظ بالحق في الرد على أي انتهاك للاتفاقية التجارية الموقعة مع الولايات المتحدة الصيف الماضي باستخدام جميع الوسائل المتاحة للتكتل.

وقبيل انعقاد اجتماع لمجموعة اليورو في بروكسل بمشاركة وزراء المالية، قال الوزير كارلوس كويربو للصحفيين إنه يأمل أن تلتزم واشنطن بالاتفاقية التجارية المبرمة في عام 2025، وذلك بعد إعلان الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الجمعة أنه سيرفع الرسوم الجمركية على واردات السيارات والشاحنات من أوروبا إلى 25% من 15% المتفق عليها سابقا.
