الأمم المتحدة تحذر: غزة تحولت إلى فخ مميت للصحفيين

أعلنت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الانسان، الليلة الماضية، أن "غزة هي المكان الأخطر في العالم للصحفيين"، مشيرة إلى أن 300 صحفي قتلوا في الحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة.

وطالبت المفوضية عبر منصة (إكس)، دول العالم بالتحرك بـ "ما يتجاوز كلمات الإدانة والتضامن"، لضمان المساءلة، ومن أجل حماية الصحفيين وإتاحة وصول مستقل لوسائل الإعلام الدولية.

من جهته، قال المفوض السامي لحقوق الإنسان، فولكر تورك، في بيان بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لحرية الصحافة، إن "حرب إسرائيل على غزة أصبحت فخا مميتا لوسائل الإعلام"، مشيرا إلى أن الصحافة الحرة هي "أوكسجين المجتمعات الحرة والمنفتحة وأن الصحفيين المحليين غالبا ما يكونون "الأكثر قدرة" على نقل حقيقة ما يجري في مناطق الحرب.

ودعا تورك، الدول إلى التحقيق في الانتهاكات ضد الصحفيين ومحاسبة المسؤولين عنها .
