ضرب زلزال بقوة ست درجات جزيرة سَمَر وسط الفلبين الاثنين، بحسب ما أفاد المعهد الجيولوجي الأميركي.

وقال المعهد إن الهزة رُصدت عند الساعة 6:09 بتوقيت غرينتش، على عمق 733,3 كيلومترا، ولم يُبلّغ عن إصابات حتى الآن.

والفليبين جزء من "حزام النار" في المحيط الهادي، وهي منطقة ناشطة زلزاليا تمتد من اليابان عبر جنوب شرق آسيا وحوض المحيط الهادي.
