قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الأحد إن مسؤولين أميركيين يجرون "مناقشات إيجابية للغاية" مع إيران بشأن خطوات محتملة لإنهاء الحرب.

وجاء في منشور لترامب على منصته تروث سوشال "أنا على دراية كاملة بأن ممثليّ يجرون مناقشات إيجابية للغاية مع دولة إيران، وأن هذه المناقشات يمكن أن تؤدي إلى شيء إيجابي للغاية للجميع".

وكانت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية قد أعلنت في وقت سابق أن طهران قدّمت مقترحا من 14 بندا "يتمحور حول إنهاء الحرب"، وأن واشنطن ردّت عليه برسالة وجّهتها إلى الوسطاء الباكستانيين.
