قالت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الانسان إن "غزة هي المكان الأخطر في العالم للصحفيين"، مشيرة الى مصرع 295 صحفيا في اعتداءات قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على غزة.

وفي منشور على منصة (اكس) اليوم الأحد، طالبت المنظمة الأممية دول العالم إلى التحرك بـ "ما يتجاوز كلمات الإدانة والتضامن"، لضمان المساءلة، ومن أجل حماية الصحفيين وإتاحة وصول مستقل لوسائل الإعلام الدولية.

من جهته، قال المفوض السامي لحقوق الإنسان فولكر تورك، إن "حرب إسرائيل في غزة أصبحت فخا مميتا لوسائل الإعلام"، مشيرا إلى تحقق مكتبه من "مقتل قرابة 300 صحفي وإصابة عدد أكبر بكثير" منذ تشرين الأول 2023.
